Jamie Spears' Restaurant Closed |
|

Defamer.com: Under the ever-expanding heading of "Failed Career Attempts of the Men in Britney Spears' Life" comes news that JJ Chill, the Venice smoothie shop (tagline: "Think outside the cone") purchased by her dad Jamie in an attempt at getting his life back together after his post-divorce alcoholic tailspin and subsequent rehab stint, will be shuttering its frozen delicacy-dispensing doors:
JJ Chill - the Venice, Calif., restaurant Britney Spears' dad Jamie purchased in Nov. 2004 - has closed, the owner and landlord of the property where the small eatery was housed, Mark Wurm, has exclusively revealed to Star.
"Jamie served a lot of icies - cups of flavored ice - and people don't eat icies when it’s cold," Wurm tells Star. So when the weather turned chilly recently people stopped going there.
Ok well that doesn't seem to be a problem anyway since Jamie is now the Maloof family's private cook. He also released, in collaboration with his son Bryan, the 'Palms Play Poker At Home' DVD. |

Britney Wants A Major Makeover |
|

|
NationalLedger.com: Pop tart Britney Spears needs a new look a published reports suggests. The singer is still fighting the whole baby weight thing and has gone back and forth with hair extensions and her clothing choices have left a bit to be desired at some points as well.
The star seems to realize it and now allegedly wants an extreme makeover, according to the magazine Us Weekly.
Her goals, get a new look, fix her private life and jump start her career.
The pop tart's publicist Leslie Sloane tells Us Weekly that now that it's been a few months since Mrs. Federline gave birth, she's in "a makeover mode."
Us reports that Britney is frustrated over her post-baby bod, rocky marriage and stalled career, so she's taking time for herself and she's gearing up for a fresh start.
The mag then gives some opinions from 'experts.'
-"It wouldn't hurt if she hit the gym a little. She just had a baby, so it's completely understandable she put on weight, but she was so hot!" -- Marianela (VJ and host of Fuse's Daily Download) notes for her "new look."
- I'd have a photographer take very good, sensitive family pictures with the child and then place that picture [in the press] -- not try to sell it for $200,000." -- Howard Rubenstein dishes on fixing her private life.
- Should she dump Kevin? I think so. Part of [her appeal] was that she wasn't married. You had this illusion of innocence. You can't have that when you have the hillbilly husband." -- Steve Martin, the Foo-fighter rep, not the actor believes.
Look - Brit is still very young. Stage two of her career can go brilliantly, but she will have to get dedicated and get that body back.
She needs to stay out of sight, get back that killer pre-baby body and emerge back as the pop tart Britney.

K-Fed - Luckiest Man Alive |
|

MTV.com: As he sits down behind the mixing board at the Malibu, California, studio where he's recording his upcoming hip-hop album, Kevin Federline takes a swig of Coke and ponders placing the can in our camera's frame.
"You know I've been f---ing publicizing their f---ing asses for f---ing years now. I think it's time for them to f---ing give me some loot," he says. "It could be great too, 'cause she was repping Pepsi, and I could be repping Coke." (She, of course, being wife Britney Spears.)
Federline flashes a mischievous smile and laughs.
Despite having a mouth like a truck driver's, K-Fed has an instant charm to him. He's the definition of laid back, but there is an eager energy in his voice and sincerity in what he says. He's pretty funny, too.
Kevin's the first to admit that he inherited a vital career advantage when he married Britney, but he doesn't call attention to her celebrity as he casually tells a story from his honeymoon about struggling without modern technology.

Britney A Victim Of Exhaustion |
|
Jordan /
20 Jan 2006 |
|
It's not easy being a celebrity. In fact, it can be downright exhausting.
They're overworked, some of them are extremely overpaid - "Mo Money Mo Problems," anyone? - and good help, the kind that doesn't go running to the tabloids with lurid tales about strange diets and off-color personal habits, is so hard to find.
Exhaustion among the fabulous is fast becoming an epidemic: In recent months, it's been cited - initially, anyway - as the cause of cancellations by Lindsay Lohan, Eminem, Gwen Stefani and Hilary Duff, among others.
But what exactly does it mean? Is it something that can be cured by spending a few days in bed - or is it just a get-out-of-jail-free card to camouflage a different problem? Like substance abuse, psychological issues, pregnancy and other things far more titillating than this intentionally vague catch-all ailment?
Let's take a look at some of the recent months' most severe cases - and, when we've been able to find out, what was really going on.
Victim: Britney Spears
What happened: She took another one of her "breaks."
They said: In a post on her Web site, Britney said that she wants to focus on being a wife and mother. "My prerogative right now is to just chill and let all of the other overexposed blondes on the cover of Us Weekly be your entertainment. Good luck girls!"
But could it be ... ? : Maybe she knew it would make her the object of public fascination again: During her "time off," she's debuted some new tracks on a Los Angeles radio station, directed her first video, promoted her reality show, "Chaotic," put out a perfume line and a remix album. She has also given cover-story interviews to People for every milestone of her married life thus far, from engagement to wedding to baby shower to first official baby photos. This from the girl who vowed, "I will refrain from discussing my private life in interviews. It will be expressed solely through art."
The solution: More like her private life has become her art. Britney's hit the PR jackpot: taking a "break" has ensured that Us Weekly will keep her on the cover all year round. "Time off" could be the next big thing!

Kevin Federline: "Don't Call Me K-Fed" |
|
Jen /
18 Jan 2006 |
|
SOHH.com reported that Kevin Federline wants to be taken seriously as an MC-and he does not want to be called "K-Fed." Federline, who first caught the public's eye when he married Britney Spears, has made a point of letting journalists know that he is not a fan of the moniker, one way or another. On Thursday (January 12), SOHH.com briefly interviewed Federline about "PopoZão," his debut single, and forthcoming untitled album. After the interviewer called Federline "K-Fed" several times, the Fresno, California native had apparently had enough. "I don't like K-Fed," said Federline when asked what artists he didn't like. "Why don't you like K-Fed?" replied the SOHH.com interviewer. Federline's response... a telephone dial tone. Produced by Disco D (50 Cent's "Ski Mask Way"), "PopoZão" was released exclusively through Yahoo! Music Unlimited on January 1 and now can be downloaded via Federline's website. Kevin Federline's debut album is due out this summer.
